If you think we paddle all day and there are no rest breaks, you
are mistaken. There is plenty of time for talkin', fun and relaxing.
What better way to start the year than looking and talking about
God and his plans?

On the Young Adult Canoe Camp (2004), 16 people
set off on the Wakool River, ending at the junction with the
Murray River.
With such a small group of people it made it much easier for everyone to get
to know each other better. Mags led some great studies based on a book by Robert
Munger titled “My Heart, Christ’s Home” which was about inviting
Jesus into all areas of our life.
The Wakool was pretty tame, except for a couple of areas, including the level
1 rapids that we canoed through, where Paul and Joylene managed to fill and tip
their canoe.
Other highlights include: Paul’s other capsizes into the river, Claire’s
jump from the canoe to canoe and Nicko and Peter catching plenty of Cod, even
a couple that were a good size! Andrew Martin
