Plenty of summer activities to enjoy here! Come prepared to feel at home, make new friends, soak up the sun, and enjoy great meals as you learn a bit more about God. Be quick to apply!

THE CAMP (2004): The cooler weather didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the 85 campers and leaders who “took to the water” at every opportunity! Hunt the Leader afternoon was replaced with a wide game involving a lot of water balloons but I have a feeling that leaders may have enjoyed it even more than campers!
Our beach day at Port Fairy gave the opportunity for 20 of our group to have a 2 hour surf lesson where some great skills were displayed and a few new ways of using surf boards were discovered!
Tim Walter guided a hardworking leadership team and Brad Irvine led creative study times on some of the basics of Christianity , - who is God ?, sin, grace and serving God. A number of people were really helped in their relationship with God and at least one camper be came a Christian. We were greatly encouraged by the amount of leadership potential shown by many of the campers.
THE COOKS: We never seem to give this group of “behind the scenes” servants the thanks and acknowledgment they deserve!! This year Noreen Croot guided Stan and Helen Mah, Joan Jarred and Shirley Walter.
This group willingly shared the task of “interior decoration” and kept everyone fueled up for the demands of camp activities. The demands of recent food handling regulations make the task of camp catering more complex. Thank you so much Noreen for your listening ears, patience, encouragement and creativity !!
In recognition of Noreen’s many years in serving Portland and Halls Gap camps from the kitchen, she was presented with a “gold saucepan”. Noreen in turn handed over the “wooden spoon of responsibility for catering organization in the West” to Helen Mah. Thank you to all who prayed, encouraged, and supported and to God, who enabled, protected, and allowed us to partner Him in His Work. Bruce Mackintosh
