WINTER TEEN 2006
With the absence of Frosty the Snowman, winter camp was less white,
but more on the nose. By far the favourite session on camp was ‘A
Very Fishy Afternoon’. This involved five partly frozen fish
being treated to relay races, fencing battles and rugby matches.
By the end of the afternoon, the fish were barely recognizable and
the potency of fish insides could be smelt from Frosty’s home
in the Iceland. This activity mixed with random aerobics sessions,
Macedonian singing and dancing, a splash at the pool, separate bonding
time for girls and guys, and paintball with a difference, made for
a very enjoyable week. Kylie Skidmore challenged us by speaking about
searching for and unlocking the codes of life. The Kingdom was expanded
on camp, and God was glorified. We thank the leaders for tireless
enthusiasm, the campers for their passion, and our King for the way
he works through all situations.
