Haansley Ernest

Pastoral Worker

Haansley (or “Haans,” as most people call him) first discovered ESA’s ministry at a Summer Teen Camp in Year 8 — he returned year after year before stepping into leadership, where he now serves on multiple camps each year. He thrives on collaborating with fellow leaders and campers who share his passion for worship, music, and creativity.

Through his role as a pastoral worker with ESA, Haans hopes to discover fresh opportunities to engage and develop creativity in people all across Victoria!

Haans lives north of Melbourne, right on the edge of suburbia and farmland. He worships at Empower Church in Bundoora, where he serves in worship and youth ministry.

When he’s not working towards his degree in psychology, you’ll find Haans engaging in every form of music! Playing, producing, jamming – anywhere he can fit it in, with anyone who’s keen. He sings, plays guitar, drums, and keys, plus he dabbles in clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, and even a bit of violin. Haans also loves 4WD, soccer and futsal, and run club.

If you would like to join Haansley’s support team, you can head to our donate page. All you need to do is designate your gift to Haans, and choose either one-off or monthly donations.

If you would like to receive prayer points from Haans, please let him know by sending an email to hernest@esa.org.au

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people, the traditional custodians of the land where we base ourselves, along with those who steward all the lands upon which we gather. God created these lands, the mountains, rivers and trees, and He has entrusted their care to the traditional custodians. We commit to and pray that we will show respect to elders past and present, that we will learn from them with humility and walk softly and gently on these lands.
