Scott Ronalds
Pastoral Worker
Scott’s journey with ESA began all the way back in 2001 as a camper on our Gippsland camps. Over the years, he stepped into leading, directing, and serving on the pastoral team, bringing a deep love for the ESA community and a wealth of experience to his role as a Pastoral Worker.
A significant season living in remote Strelley (near Port Hedland, WA) served as a profound catalyst for Scott’s growth. While his wife, Deborah, taught at the local community school, Scott worked in a support role alongside Indigenous elders, staff, and students. This time out West reinforced to Scott that ministry doesn’t always happen through big events or structured programs. Instead, it’s so often found in simply turning up, helping out wherever needed, listening well, and loving people faithfully.
Scott is heavily involved in connecting with the Gippsland community and leading camps. His passion lies in getting alongside people and fostering those simple conversations, genuine relationships, and shared camp experiences that God so consistently uses in extraordinary ways to transform lives.
Outside of his ESA role, Scott runs his own videography business and loves telling people’s stories through film. He shares life with his wife and their four kids. When he’s not working, you’ll find him exploring the outdoors with his family, hitting the gym, working on house projects, or sitting down over a good coffee for a deep chat!
